I grew up listening to my dad watching hockey on TV, listening to AM radio hockey broadcasts in the car, and for years I spent countless weekends travelling around the province for my brother's hockey games. It's a way of life for many Canadians.
Playing taiko for hockey games was a new experience, and a lot of fun for our group. The Calgary Hitmen made it through to the second round of the WHL playoffs, and we spent a lot of time up in the Red Zone, drumming to cheer on the team.
Several of our Youth members also got to ride the Zambonis! We were pretty excited when the Hitmen defeated Lethbridge in the first round, but ultimately lost in the second round to the Edmonton Oil Kings.
