Our members study taiko together at the Conservatory, and rehearse weekly. Some of our members also take additional classes to improve technique or learn new pieces. We finished the year off with the rest of the Beginner, Intermediate, and Kids taiko classes from the semester, with a fun taiko recital at the TransAlta Pavilion and a family picnic at Sandy Beach!
Yodan uchi is a very challenging taiko style and piece, and we started learning the basics and drills that are the foundation of the style. One day we hope to work more on Yodan, and maybe even perform it someday!
