The DragonBoat Festival was a busy day of paddling on the Glenmore Reservoir! We performed a short set on the multicultural stage for Globalfest.
It was a busy day, as I was coordinating drum transport for the Omatsuri Japanese Festival, and also performing Sen no Kaikyo with Eitetsu Fu-un no Kai, and leading the MRU student group performance at Max Bell (the opposite quadrant of the city), all of which was happening on the same day! We managed to squeeze all 3 of us, with all our equipment and dollies into a single vehicle and it was probably the most efficient setup and takedown on record!
I would like to thank Globalfest for inviting us to participate in this event. I regret that I wasn't able to stay and enjoy the beautiful day and watch the paddlers out on the water, and take in the excellent-smelling food trucks that were onsite.
